Marketplace Policy

Last updated: 7 July 2026

This policy sets out how the ZipZap marketplace works day to day — who can do what, how bookings move through the platform, and what happens when something goes wrong.

1. Roles on the platform

  • Travel agents post outstation trip requirements — route, date, vehicle category — and review responses from fleet owners/drivers.
  • Fleet owners & operators manage a roster of vehicles and drivers, and accept bookings on their behalf.
  • Drivers are assigned to accepted bookings by their fleet owner/operator, or can operate independently if verified as an individual operator.

2. Verification is mandatory

Every fleet owner, operator, and driver must complete KYC verification — valid driving licence, vehicle registration, permit, and insurance — before they can view or accept bookings. Unverified accounts can browse the platform but cannot transact. ZipZap may re-verify documents periodically or when a complaint is raised.

3. Posting a booking

  • Travel agents must post genuine, accurate trip requirements — real routes, real dates, and a realistic vehicle category.
  • Duplicate postings for the same trip across multiple listings to induce competing offers artificially are not permitted.
  • Agents may choose to keep their contact details private until a booking is accepted, where this feature is available.

4. Accepting a booking

  • Once a fleet owner/driver accepts a booking, both parties are expected to honour it under the terms shown at acceptance (route, vehicle, fare).
  • Any change to the fare or vehicle category after acceptance must be agreed by both parties before the trip begins.
  • Rate cards follow standard vehicle categories — Hatchback, Sedan/Dzire, Ertiga, Innova Crysta, Hycross — with routes under 100 km billed at the 100 km minimum.

5. Commission & platform fees

ZipZap facilitates the connection between travel agents and fleet owners/drivers and may charge a platform fee for this service. This fee is separate from the trip fare, which is settled directly between the two parties. ZipZap is not a party to the trip fare agreement and does not adjudicate trip-fare disputes.

6. Prohibited conduct

  • Circumventing the platform to avoid a platform fee after a connection was made through ZipZap.
  • Sharing verification credentials or letting an unverified driver operate under a verified account.
  • Submitting false documents, fake reviews, or misrepresenting vehicle condition or availability.
  • Harassment, discrimination, or abusive communication toward another user.
  • Operating without a valid permit, insurance, or licence for the trip undertaken.

7. Ratings and reviews

Travel agents and fleet owners/drivers may rate each other after a completed booking. Reviews should reflect genuine experience. ZipZap may remove reviews that are abusive, fraudulent, or unrelated to an actual booking.

8. Enforcement

Violations of this policy may result in a warning, temporary suspension, or permanent removal from the platform, depending on severity and history. Repeated verified complaints against a single account will be reviewed by our team, and our decision on account status is final for platform purposes.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Marketplace Policy as the platform evolves. Material changes will be posted here with a revised “last updated” date.
